Chloë Haywood - Mentoring: Becoming a Sustainable Fashion Brand

I’m Chloë, I’m obsessed with upcycling, and I’m excited to say that I’ve made a successful brand out of it. There I said it.

My business has come from a deep rooted passion and love for reusing materials (and I loosely say ‘materials’ because if you’re a serial upcycler like me, you do get handed the most unlikely things to repurpose!).

Within a year of starting out, I’d styled my own catwalk show, my designs were seen in The Times and I’d made firm connections with an influential buyer, which later saw my work being sold in the likes of Fenwick in Bond Street. I went on to show my designs at London and Milan Fashion Week.

Although my business was on the outset seemingly glitz and glam, financially it wasn’t paying off, plus I was starting a family, so time and resources were changing and I had to adapt.

After a rebrand, or maybe a business facelift (the only plastic reference you’ll no doubt hear from me) my business took a huge sigh of relief.

I was in control again…but my business hadn’t changed really. If you look at the heart of what I do, it’s always been the same. Reducing (waste), reusing and re-loving.

I just had to learn to alter my language, my copy, and more importantly - get control.

I’ve never had a business loan, I never had a mentor, I’ve never had any business advice. I literally started with a passion.

And I want to hear yours.

How Can I help You?

If you’re running or starting a sustainable Fashion business, I want to hear from you.

I can help with finding that throughline in what you do, to then build on your ‘story’. That narration, will be your language to the heart of your business.

If you need help with branding or marketing, social media or even preparing for meetings and shows, I’d be delighted to hold your hand through the process.

Repurposing is problem solving, so share your ideas, thoughts and dreams, and let’s connect.
