Environmental Policy
Chloe Haywood (designer and founder of Chloe Haywood London) has set out this policy as her commitment to supporting the principles of environmental sustainability, the circular economy and that a sustainable environment is central to our lives and our work.
Sustainability and provenance are fundamental to our work - the business concept is based on upcycling and the repurposing of materials and fabrics to give them a second and reimagined purpose.
The aim of our Environmental Sustainability Policy is to:
• implement environmental actions within the company
• monitor the environmental actions and improvements internally
• communicate environmental initiatives internally and externally.
Chloe Haywood respects the relationship with the natural environment and its ecosystems and takes actions to prevent the degradation of those natural systems. As a result commits to the following principles and practices:
· We are part of the circular economy in using and repurposing fabrics and materials. To date we have recused and diverted from landfill 3.5 tonnes for all of our UK made products (Fashion accessories and homewear).
· We monitor the consumption of natural resources in our daily operations, including water, paper and energy.
· We commit to the principles of preventing pollution to the environment and continual improvement.
· We minimise pollution by taking steps to limit carbon emissions resulting from vehicle use where possible and working with an offset partner for unavoidable travel.
· We communicate this policy to our employees, contractors and the wider community, as well as making this policy available to the general public
